Power Outages Scheduled For Parts Of Monrovia This Week

Southern California Edison said the outages are required to make upgrades and improvements to the utility company's equipment.

MONROVIA, CA — Residents in northeastern Monrovia should expect to be without power intermittently throughout Tuesday and Thursday as Southern California Edison has planned outages for the area.

The outages are required for the utility company to upgrade its aging power infrastructure and to make any necessary repairs and improvements, according to Monrovia officials. The power company will be working between Foothill Boulevard and Greystone Avenue from Canyon through Grand Avenue.

The outages take place Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Notifications were sent to households impacted by the outages, officials said.
