Taco Row: Del Taco to Bring More Fast Food to Huntington Drive
The fast food chain wants to open up a restaurant on Huntington Drive in Monrovia later this year. If approved, it would mark the third fast food taco chain within a 1.5 mile stretch of the street.

If a new Del Taco is approved by the planning commission later this month, Monrovia will have three fast food taco restaurants within a 1.5 mile stretch of Huntington Drive. Two Taco Bells are already within a mile of each other--at 140 West and 733 East Huntington--and the Del Taco plans to open a few blocks away at 935 East Huntington.
The Del Taco will be housed in a 2,373 square-foot building and will include a 24-hour drive-through window, according to city records. Its parking lot will have 24 parking spaces and the interior seating area will have a total of 64 seats.

The planning commission will consider Del Taco's conditional use permit request at its regular meeting on March 13.
