Trash Fire Breaks Out on Linwood Avenue

Firefighters responded to a debris fire in an alley in the 300 block of Linwood Avenue Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. and had not spread to any structures, according to Monrovia Police Lt. Michael Lee.

"There's no house on fire, it's just debris," Lee said.

Monrovia Fire Chief Chris Donovan called the blaze a "very small nuisance fire" and said it was extinguished by a single engine.
