Watch the Geminid Meteor Shower Live Online
The 2012 Geminid meteor shower will peak Thursday night and Friday morning and can be watched live online through a NASA feed.

Amateur astronomers facing obstructed skies can watch the Geminid meteor shower live online through a Ustream feed set up by NASA.
The feed can be found here. Watchers can also chat with a meteor expert from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center on the site.
Additionally, amateur astronomers can upload their own photos of the Geminids to a Flickr page set up by NASA.

Jane Houston Jones, a Monrovia resident, JPL scientist and co-founder of the Old Town Sidewalk Astronomers, said on Facebook Thursday that local skies should provide a clear view of the shower. Jones provides tips for seeing astronomical events through the light-polluted Los Angeles skies in her blog.
