Montrose Centennial Celebration Pays Homage to 100 Years of History
The two-day event is a trip down memory lane to the days of the original land sale of Montrose.
From the original land sale that gave birth to Montrose in 1913 to 2013, Montrose will celebrate the past 100 years in a free two-day Centennial Celebration Saturday, Feb. 23 to Sunday, Feb. 24 at Montrose Shopping Park, 2200 Honolulu Avenue.
With storytellers, food, live music, square dancing, pony rides and a mechanical bull, the celebration harkens back to a time of the early 20th century settlers of Montrose.
The Glendale Fire Department will kick off the event Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast. Other highlights include a BBQ tent and an old fashioned saloon.
