Here's a handful of things to keep in mind for today.

    If you have an event you'd like us to consider for inclusion, be sure to add it to the events calendar. We check it often!
    • It's Teen Movie Monday at the library. T'weens and teens in grades six through 12 can take in a free screening of Warm Bodies from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
    • Muvico at The Oaks offers a free 10 a.m. screening of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
    • The Dallas Cowboys continue to train in Oxnard through Friday. Get all the details on the Cowboys' website.
    • The Moorpark City Library will be closed Friday for staff training.
    • The City Council meeting scheduled for Aug.21 has been canceled. The next regularly scheduled meeting is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 4.
