Moorpark to Host Senior Games

The city of Moorpark will host a series of competitions in various events next month.

The Moorpark Senior Games will take place Sept. 10-27 and include 

basketball key shots, bingo, bocce ball, bowling, darts, duplicate bridge, golf,

horseshoes, mah jongg, poker, poker walk, table tennis and Wii bowling.

There will be an opening ceremony and luncheon on Sept. 10 and a closing ceremony on Sept. 27, where lunch will be provided and medals will be distributed.

The games are open to those 55 and older. Applications—which are available at the Moorpark Active Adult Center, 799 Moorpark Ave.—must be received by Sept. 4.
