After a nationwide recruitment, Dustin Gardner has been appointed as the next CountyFire Chief. Appointed by the County Executive Officer, with the concurrence of the Board of Supervisors,he will be the 12th Fire Chief in the County Fire Department’s 94-year history. He will be responsible forthe protection of life and property from fire and other emergencies by directing the activities of theVentura County Fire Protection District.
