1 Dead In Southwest Riverside House Fire

FRENCH VALLEY, CA -- One person died early Sunday morning in French Valley after a house erupted in flames. The fire was reported at 4:30 a.m. in the 30300 block of Savannah Oaks Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Arriving firefighters said the fire began in the garage, but it's unclear what ignited the blaze, officials said.

Twenty-one firefighters and five engines contained the blaze in 45 minutes, officials said.

No other information was immediately available.
