1 Killed, 2 Injured In Head-On Crash In Murrieta
Police believe that one of the involved vehicles was traveling on the wrong side of the road and into oncoming traffic before the crash.
MURRIETA, CA — A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Murrieta Sunday.
The reporting party told officers that the vehicles were involved in a head-on crash, the Murrieta Police Department announced.'
The crash was reported around 6:45 a.m. Sunday on Whitewood Road, south of Clinton Keith Road, police said.

Both drivers involved were rushed to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition. A female passenger in one of the vehicles was also rushed to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries, police said.
Investigators believe that one of the involved vehicles was traveling on the wrong side of the road and into oncoming traffic before the crash.

Speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash, and according to the Murrieta PD, there was no evidence of driver impairment found.
