8 Arrested At Murrieta DUI Checkpoint
The checkpoint was held at the intersection of Margarita and Torrey Pines roads.

MURRIETA, CA -- Eight people were arrested this weekend at a Murrieta checkpoint. Police said the checkpoint was held from 7 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Margarita and Torrey Pines roads.
Of the 820 cars screened, two drivers were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. One person was arrested for a warrant, and five drivers were cited or arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended or revoked, police said.
Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspension and other expenses that can exceed $10,000.
