Armed Suspect Arrested After Threatening RivCo Woman, Child
Witnesses say the suspect "grabbed (the woman's) cell phone, brandished a firearm and told her he would 'find her,'" according to deputies.

MORENO VALLEY, CA A 54-year-old man was arrested after threatening a woman and juvenile with a firearm in Moreno Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Sunday.
It happened at 8:40 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day when a woman was attempting to drive out of a parking lot and backed into a black pickup truck, according to sheriff's Lt. Sheree' Anthony
The driver of the pickup, later identified as Jay Ali Sherman, allegedly approached the woman on the driver side of her vehicle and demanded she provide her vehicle paperwork.

When the woman attempted to call 911, Sherman allegedly grabbed her cell phone, brandished a firearm and told her he would "find her." According to Anthony, a few passersby began yelling at Sherman, and he then left the woman's phone behind and drove away.
Sherman was arrested Saturday after a search warrant was served at a residence in the 11000 block of Wild Flax Lane.

According to Anthony, evidence was found at the residence, and Sherman was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of robbery, criminal threats, brandishing a firearm, false imprisonment, intimidating a witness, enabling the usage of a phone line and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
It was unknown what Sherman was previously convicted for.
