Bicyclist Dies Following Hemet Crash
The bicyclist was riding east on Lincoln Avenue when he "collided" with a vehicle traveling north on Soboba Street, police said.
HEMET, CA — A bicyclist who was involved in a Hemet crash last week has died in the hospital, the Hemet Police Department announced Monday.
The bicyclist, whose identity was not immediately released, died Sunday, according to the police department.
According to a preliminary investigation by the Hemet Police Department, the bicyclist was riding east on Lincoln Avenue just after 6 p.m. Friday when he "collided" with a vehicle traveling north on Soboba Street.

The intersection has four-way stop signs.
The bicyclist was treated by medical personnel at the scene and immediately transported to a local hospital "with what appeared to be moderate injuries," police said.

The involved driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators, according to police.
"Driving under the influence does not appear to be a factor in this collision," police said.
No arrests were announced.
