Brush Fire Ignites In Murrieta: Avoid This Area, Officials Say

MURRIETA, CA — Do you see smoke in Murrieta? A brush fire erupted in Murrieta on Tuesday shortly before noon, according to the Murrieta Fire and Rescue Department.
What firefighters described as a 20x20 "spot fire" blaze was reported in the area of Keller Road and Meadowlark Lane at approximately 11:45 a.m., according to the department's social media post.
Forward progress on the brusher was quickly halted, they said. No other information on the cause was immediately released; however, drivers were asked to avoid the area west of Whitewood Road for at least an hour.
