Car Plummets From Roadway Above Menifee Elementary School
Firefighters rushed to aid a driver who careened over the side of the road, above this Menifee school playground.

MENIFEE, CA — Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire Department raced to aid a driver in a solo crash over the side of Fargo Street in Menifee.
Shortly before 8 a.m., a driver drove off the 27500 block of Fargo Street at McCall Boulevard. A guardrail is the only barricade from the westbound roadway to the Boulder Ridge Elementary School playground below.
The vehicle required stabilization, so that the patient could safely be removed, according to a department spokesperson.

"Firefighter paramedics made access to the patient and assessed for injuries while this was performed," they said.

The patient was safely removed and, upon further evaluation, was found to have no injuries. They were released at the scene.
It was not immediately clear what led the vehicle to leave the roadway.
