"I never thought I would see this day because of how severe my son's special needs were," his mother wrote. "Logan has Autism /ADHD and an anxiety disorder. It has taken years, a lot of tears, surviving meltdowns, being severely bullied, working with multiple doctors, therapists and of course the amazing special needs teachers, aides & departments in the multiple schools Logan has gone to.

"Logan has had to climb mountains in his life, even the shocking unexpected death of his father in 2021. He has done this all with optimism, compassion, great work ethic, & doesn't give up.

"Logan received an award for his participation in unified sports and special Olympics. Logan will be graduating with honors this Thursday," she said. "I'm very proud of my beloved son."

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?

"Never give up, and no person is an island! Logan and I would never be where we are without the help of so many wonderful people," she wrote. "Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Logan!"
