HEMET, CA — It's been 11 years since 47-year-old Dori De Ann Jamison was found dead in her Hemet trailer. Her body was face down. She had been strangled.

Neighbors didn't hear any signs of a fight or a struggle, and despite an ongoing police investigation, no arrests have been announced.

The Hemet Police Department hopes that renewed public interest will turn up Jamison's killer. Over the weekend, the agency posted Jamison's photo and details about the slaying.

It was Saturday, March 22, 2014, when Hemet police and fire were summoned to the 200 block of South Lyon Avenue regarding a call for medical aid.

First responders arrived quickly. When firefighters entered Jamison's trailer, they confirmed she was dead. Police said her death was the result of foul play.

During the early days of a Hemet police investigation, it was determined that the last known person to speak with Jamison was her mother. The two women talked four days earlier — at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

"The mother stated that the conversation was positive; she didn’t notice any concerns, and the victim did not mention anything concerning," according to the Hemet Police Department.

Detectives interviewed several neighbors, friends, and family members. The investigators learned that everyone who knew Jamison said she was always upbeat and happy.

The detectives also uncovered that Jamison had recently broken up with her boyfriend and began dating another man.

It was the ex-boyfriend who made the call to police the day Jamison's body was discovered. He had not heard from her for several days and came to check on her, according to the Hemet Police Department.

Jamison did not answer when the ex knocked on her door, so he asked neighbors for help. He forced his way into her trailer and found her body, according to police.

"Detectives found no other signs of forced entry or a struggle within the trailer," Hemet PD said.

Police did not release information about the ex-boyfriend nor the man she had allegedly started dating. No arrests have been announced in the case.

In a comment posted to the Hemet Police Department's online case file for Jamison, a person identified as S. Bohnenberger writes, "It's rare that I meet someone as honest as Dori. She was so full of life and her laugh couldn’t help but put a smile on your face. She was a good person inside and out. She was taken from this world too soon. Rest in Paradise beautiful! You are missed terribly!"
