Coroner ID's RivCo Man Killed In Crash With Power Pole
Riverside County Coroner's Bureau has revealed the name of the man who died in the Wednesday collision.

HEMET, CA — A 55-year-old Hemet man was identified as the person killed in a collision at a Hemet intersection Wednesday morning.
The Riverside County Coroner's Bureau identified Jason Pickens as the victim of the crash that occurred shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday at North Sanderson and Coronado avenues, according to the Hemet Police Department.
The agency stated that Pickens was driving through the 1100 block of Sanderson when he lost control for reasons unclear, plowing into an electricity pole as he entered the intersection.

Hemet Fire Department paramedics reached the location of the crash minutes later and attempted lifesaving measures on the victim. Their efforts were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner's report.
No other vehicles were involved in this collision, which remains under investigation by the Hemet Police Department as of midday on Thursday.
