Flood Advisory Issued As Thunderstorms Bear Down On Riverside County
The National Weather Service issued the advisory.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Amid thunderstorms, the National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory across western Riverside County.
Rainfall, thunder and lightning are steady across Riverside County, but the NWS reports that weather models predict the heaviest rainfall in local mountains, with totals possible of up to 2-3 inches.
Multiple lightning strikes are occurring in western Riverside County as thunderstorm cells cross the area. There are not yet any reports of lightning-related fires, or flash flooding, but public safety agencies are on alert.

Though the current flood advisory is set to expire at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday, the NWS might extend it if conditions continue or get heavier.
An NWS flood advisory is issued when flooding is not expected to be bad enough to issue a warning. An NWS flood warning means flooding is imminent or occurring. Motorists should use caution when encountering flooded roadways.

The storm is predicted to continue Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. Residual moisture and daytime heating could maintain chances for showers/thunderstorms again on Wednesday afternoon, according to the NWS.
