Gunmen Raided Riverside County Farm, Bound Victims: Sheriff

The Sheriff's Department said one person died in the incident.

PERRIS, CA --One person died Thursday night after four to six masked gunmen arrived on a rural residential property and bound several victims before stealing numerous marijuana plans, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

The incident was reported at 6:50 p.m. Thursday when deputies responded to a report of a residential armed robbery in the 20000 block of Santa Rosa Mine Road in Lake Matthews.

Victims told deputies the gunmen shot one victim then stole numerous grown and harvested marijuana plants before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to family.
