Hemet SUV Driver Killed After Crashing Through Mobile Home Park

HEMET, CA — A 61-year-old man was fatally injured when he lost control of his SUV and crashed while driving through a Hemet mobile home park, authorities said Wednesday.

Theodore Bigley of Hemet died in the crash shortly after 2 p.m. Monday in the Echo Hill Estates in the 1700 block of South State Street, near Chambers Street, according to the Hemet Police Department.

The agency said that Bigley was driving his GMC Envoy eastbound through the park when he "accelerated, leaving the roadway."

The SUV flipped over in front of one of the residences, rolling at least once, according to a police statement.

No other vehicles were involved, and there was no damage to any of the mobile homes.

Hemet Fire Department paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and pronounced Bigley dead at the scene.
