Home Depot Opening 2nd Store In Murrieta

MURRIETA, CA — A second Home Depot location is set to open in Murrieta.

The new store at 27738 Clinton Keith Road near Interstate 215 is slated to begin welcoming customers on Dec. 12, according to the company. The store — with its 106,000 square feet of indoor space, and a 28,000-square-foot garden center — is fully staffed with 175 associates, the retailer said.

A full tool rental center with 275 items for rent, including large equipment, will be offered at the new location. Additionally, the store will feature specialty showrooms with new merchandising displays and layouts.

On opening day, the store will celebrate with food trucks, prizes, giveaways and more.

Earlier this month, The Home Depot reported sales of $40.2 billion for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, an increase of 6.6% from the third quarter of fiscal year 2023.

"While macroeconomic uncertainty remains, our third quarter performance exceeded our expectations," said Ted Decker, The Home Depot chair, president and CEO. "As weather normalized, we saw better engagement across seasonal goods and certain outdoor projects as well as incremental sales related to hurricane demand. I would like to thank all of our associates for their dedication in serving our customers and communities."
