Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Found Fatally Shot In Hemet

HEMET, CA — A man was found fatally shot Monday morning in Hemet, and investigators believe the shooting was a homicide.

The grim discovery was made at approximately 9:46 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Florida Avenue.

"Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male with an apparent gunshot wound," according to the Hemet Police Department, which has opened a homicide investigation.

The identity of the deceased was not released pending official family notification.
