MURRIETA, CA — At least two suspects who fatally shot a La Cresta man Sunday night at his home remain on the loose, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Andrew Cisneros, 35, died after being shot several times at the single-story, 5-acre estate in the 38100 block of Via Majorca. La Cresta is an unincorporated residential community located just west of Murrieta city limits.

Cisneros was found after deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station were dispatched at 6:22 p.m. to a report of the shooting at the home. More than 10 sheriff's department vehicles and at least one Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department truck responded, sirens and lights blaring.

A sheriff's department helicopter was summoned in an effort to help track down the suspects. Despite several hours of searching, no arrests were made.

"There are no suspects in custody," Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez told Patch Sunday night and again Monday night.

At least two suspects were involved in the slaying, but both fled the area in an unknown vehicle, the sheriff's department confirmed late Monday night.

Details about whether Cisneros knew the suspects or a possible motive for the killing were not disclosed.

"The investigation is currently ongoing and no further information will be released at this time," the sheriff's department reported.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call Investigator Rodriguez at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station at 951-245-3300, or Investigator G.
