Mother, Children Found Safe After Extensive IE Search

They were scheduled to meet with child protective services to finalize custody arrangements for the children when they failed to appear.

HEMET, CA — A mother and her two children, who were last seen in Hemet earlier this month, have been located, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced.

Lisa Trejo Cordero, 2-year-old Jameson Fetchko and 4-year-old Memarie Fetchko went missing Aug. 6 in east Hemet, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. An extensive search was mounted after their disappearance.

The agency stated Cordero was scheduled to meet with Child Protective Services that day to finalize custody arrangements for the children. The situation was described as "unusual and troubling" by family and friends.
