Motorcyclist Killed In Crashes At Menifee Intersection
The crashes were reported at Highway 74 and Menifee Road.
MENIFEE, CA — Two separate crashes early Monday morning near a Menifee intersection left a motorcyclist dead, police said.
At approximately 4 a.m., Menifee police responded to a crash report at Highway 74 and Menifee Road. A motorcyclist, sedan and pickup truck were involved, according to police.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department personnel were summoned for the motorcyclist, who was unresponsive due to his extensive injuries. Despite efforts to revive the rider, he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The motorcyclist's identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
During an investigation by the Menifee Police Traffic Unit, it was determined that the motorcyclist "was involved in two separate collisions," according to police.

The first crash involved a sedan; the second collision involved a pickup truck.
"Both drivers remained on scene and were cooperative throughout the investigation. Impairment is not a factor at this time," Menifee police reported. "The cause of the collisions is still under investigation."
