Murrieta Fire To Host CPR/AED Class: 'Ready To Be A Lifesaver?'
When a person is suffering from cardiac arrest, performing CPR can double or triple the chance of survival. What to know.
MURRIETA, CA — CPR training can give anyone the ability to help save a life.
Murrieta residents can now sign up for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training to learn this useful procedure when an emergency strikes.
Murrieta Fire & Rescue announced Thursday that it will host two trainings — one on Feb. 8 and the other on March 8. Spaces are limited, according to the department. Register online here or call 951-304-7275.

"Gain the confidence to act swiftly in emergency situations and save lives," the department said on X.
During the trainings, fire officials will demonstrate how to assist someone suffering from cardiac arrest.

A person experiencing cardiac arrest loses 10% of their chance for survival each minute that defibrillation is delayed, according to the American Red Cross. When trained bystanders take action, CPR can double or triple a person's chance for survival.
