Murrieta Man Charged With 18 Felonies In Luxury Car Scheme
The defendant absconded with the hot cars and sold them to dealers across the country by forging the registration titles, the DA said.

MURRIETA, CA — A Murrieta man, who allegedly attempted to scam a married couple out of a half-dozen luxury cars valued at more than $1 million, was behind bars Friday, charged with 18 felonies.
Kendall Jamison Clark, 25, was arrested Oct. 18 in San Diego by the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail after investigators learned he filled out rental paperwork for the cars, paid for a one-week lease, picked them up from the couple in Lake Mathews, but never returned them, according to the DA's office.
The vehicles included a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, 2015 Lamborghini Huracán, 2021 Jeep Wrangler, 2021 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 BMW i8 and 2020 Lamborghini Urus.

Clark absconded with the high-value rides and sold the hot cars to dealers across the country by forging or "washing" the registration titles, according to the DA.
Clark pleaded not guilty to all charges, including multiple counts of vehicle theft and embezzlement, during his Oct. 20 arraignment. He is scheduled for an Oct. 30 felony settlement conference and is currently being held on $250,000 bail at Southwest Detention Center.

All the cars were returned to the couple.
