Murrieta Paying Patrons To Shop, Eat Local: How To Get In On The Deal

The "Murrieta Money Match" program pays people to frequent local services, stores and restaurants.

MURRIETA, CA — The city of Murrieta is continuing to pay people to shop and eat local as a way to support businesses in town.

The "Murrieta Money Match" program that rolled out in 2022 is again being touted ahead of the 2023 holidays. The program is simple: Purchase a $50 gift card through the city’s Murrieta Money Match website and receive a free $50 bonus card. Starting on Black Friday, Nov. 24, the city will increase the amount: Buy a $100 gift card and receive a free $100 bonus card (limited to the first 1,000 cards purchased). Purchase cards here.

The cards can be used at over 80 Murrieta businesses. See the full list here. New businesses are always being added and the bonus card value is good for up to a year after purchase, according to the city.
