MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta Police Department is hiring lateral police officers, that agency has announced

They are currently seeking officers who wish to work in Murrieta, with a deadline for application submission of August 8, 2025. The salary for this position is between $105,060.80 and $127,691.20 per year. See the full requirements for this position on the city's website.

This is a non-exempt position under the MPOA Bargaining Unit.

The right candidates will have:

• One (1) year of current, full-time experience as a police officer with a public agency (must have satisfactorily completed the probationary period at time of appointment). Preference given to applicants with patrol experience.

• Possession of a California P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate or a basic course waiver from P.O.S.T. at the time of application.

• Must successfully complete a criminal and traffic record check, background investigation, and a physical and psychological examination.
