Murrieta's 30th Birthday Bash Set For Saturday

The party will take on a 1990s theme to honor the city's July 1, 1991 incorporation, and the community is invited to help celebrate.

MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta is celebrating its 3o years as a city, and the public is invited to attend a way-back birthday bash this weekend.

From 2 p.m. to approximately 9:20 p.m. Saturday at California Oaks Sports Park (40600 California Oaks Boulevard), there will be free family-friendly activities, a scooter demonstration, firefighter hose down, a bounce house, and live music.

The day will culminate with a 20-minute fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m.

The birthday party will take on a 1990s theme to honor the city's July 1, 1991 incorporation. The live bands begin at 4:30 p.m. with a '90s-themed entertainment lineup including the Faux Fighters, Green Today, and No Duh.

The fireworks display will be set to 1990s music hits.

Visitors can check out the non-profits, businesses, and food vendors at the event, and attendees are encouraged to head down early and enjoy a day at the park.
