MURRIETA, CA – The next adventure for Murrieta families is "right around the corner, as Urban Air Adventure prepares to open in Murrieta, owners Julian Kidd and Travis Chick say.

The facility, located at 24450 Village Walk Place, in the Village Walk Shopping Center, is in the former location of the now vacated Bed, Bath & Beyond. It's 34,000 square feet of family fun, filled with wall-to-wall trampolines, laser tag, dodgeball, rope courses, climbing walls, and the Sky Rider, with many "American Ninja Warrior style" activities. Inside, there will be a private party space, a cafe and just under 1,000 square feet of office space, according ot the city planner's office.

Though no opening date has yet been announced, just that the new family fun park will "open soon," according to Kidd. "We are aiming for the middle of November for the soft opening," he told Patch. The owners received their conditional use permit in April, and are working with the city as their opening approaches. "We still have permitting and things to clear, to make sure the park is safe for everyone."

Family fun zones are all the rage in Southwest Riverside County, encouraging kids to get off their devices and get out to burn off energy. "This is something that the city of Murrieta needs, something for kids to do and enjoy," he said. At Urban Air, you'll find food, fun, and games. According to the website, tickets will be available for "all-day play," and memberships will also be available.

The Murrieta location of Urban Air will be an ideal birthday party and weekend hangout spot, Kidd said. "Kids of all ages will love every second."

When asked why they selected Murrieta for this franchise opportunity, he said that they researched where it was growing, and Southwest Riverside County fit the bill.

"This is an awesome community, Kidd said. A resident of Frisco, TX, and a former resident of Orange County, he sees similarities to his hometown. Chick, he said, also has community ties.

The franchisees say they are "friends who met at Urban Air as children at a birthday party. Chick is a former U.S. Army National Guard sergeant, and Kidd is a financial services professional and father.

"We're super excited. We think we'll bring a lot of value to the communities, a clean, safe, fun space to have new experiences and celebrations," Kidd said. "We anticipate it will be fun for all, and hope it will enrich the community."
