During that incident, two adult male subjects were at the core of the altercation, Det. Jennifer Mehr said. One is believed to be the person pictured.
"As a result, one individual sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment," she said. The patient's current condition was not immediately disclosed.
Though many fled the area, several witnesses remained at the scene and were interviewed by responding personnel, according to Mehr. Investigators also want to talk with witnesses to the fight who left the area before police arrived.
Once asked, hundreds of commenters flooded the department's social media account with ideas, political statements, and occasional sentiments of support.
Due to the photo being taken on Halloween night, commenters wondered if the tattoos were real, questioned the "tiny feet" of the person, among other suggestions.
