Police Investigation Spurs Road Closure In Murrieta
Sirens rang throughout Murrieta on Thursday afternoon as officers urged residents to avoid an area.
MURRIETA, CA — A police investigation has spurred the partial closure of Los Alamos Road on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Westbound Los Alamos Road was closed between Madison Avenue and Jefferson Avenue as of 1:30 p.m., according to the Murrieta Police Department.
Police said they were investigating an isolated incident and "there is no threat to the public."

Residents and commuters were asked to avoid the area until further notice, police wrote on Instagram.
One commenter on the Instagram post said they heard "siren after siren" and saw "tons of SWAT trucks."
