RivCo Man Charged With Murdering Father, Robbing Others The Same Day
The 47-year-old is accused of killing his father and is being held on $1 million bail.

MEAD VALLEY, CA — A 47-year-old Mead Valley man accused of killing his father is facing both murder and robbery charges in court on Wednesday.
Juan Manuel Gonzalez was arrested Sunday after a Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigation led deputies to believe he had killed his 70-year-old father, Angel Gonzalez.
Along with murder, Gonzalez was also charged with three counts of robbery as he was accused of robbing three people on the same day his father was pronounced dead.

He is being held on $1 million bail at the Robert Presley Detention Center and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies were called at 4:15 a.m. to the 20000 block of Clark Street to investigate an unresponsive male, according to sheriff's Sgt. Alberto Loureiro.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the 70-year-old gravely injured. Despite lifesaving measures, the man, later identified as Angel Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene, Loureiro said.
First responders attempted CPR, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later, according to Loureiro.
He said Central Homicide Unit detectives turned their attention to Juan Gonzalez, who was taken into custody without incident on North Perris Boulevard in Perris that afternoon.
Three men were allegedly robbed by the defendant prior to his arrest. They were identified only by their initials -- "A.C.," "M.A." and "M.V." The exact circumstances were not provided.
Gonzalez has no documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County.
