RivCo Mobile Home Fire Displaces Woman, Dog In Valley Vista

VALLEY VISTA, CA — A fire that broke out Thursday in a Valle Vista mobile home caused significant damage, displacing the 60-year-old resident and her dog, neither of whom was injured.

The blaze was reported just after noon at the Pueblo Sereno Mobile Home Park, near the intersection of Lincoln and Palm avenues, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered smoke originating from the rear of the doublewide trailer, from which the resident and her small dog escaped unharmed.

Firefighters got the blaze completely under control 10 minutes later, but damage to the interior of the home made it unsafe, according to reports from the scene.

Red Cross personnel were requested to assist the victim with finding temporary alternate lodgings.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
