RivCo's Vote-By-Mail Ballots Are On The Way, Registrar Says

The county mailed 1.3 million ballots to residents for the Nov. 5 election. What to know.

RIVERSIDE, CA — Riverside County residents registered to vote will soon receive vote-by-mail ballots for the Nov. 5 election.

The County of Riverside Registrar of Voters said 1.3 million local ballots were mailed out through the U.S. Postal Service on Monday.

"The County of Riverside Registrar of Voters encourages all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming Presidential General Election," said County of Riverside Registrar of Voters Art Tinoco. "Every vote makes a difference in shaping our collective future."

Deadlines To Remember

Ballots submitted through the mail must be postmarked on or before Nov. 5 and received no later than Nov. 12, officials said. Otherwise, ballots must be received by the registrar or another voting center in Riverside County no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.

Returning Your Ballot

Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned through the postal service; postage is not required.

Ballots can also be turned into vote-by-mail drop-off boxes. More drop-off locations and hours can be found here. In Riverside, two 24-hour drop boxes will be available outside the main entrance of the registrar’s office at 2720 and 2724 Gateway Drive.

Vote-by-mail ballots can be dropped off in person at any vote center in Riverside County before 8 p.m. on Election Day. Find locations here.

Early voting began on Oct. 7 at the Registrar of Voters office. The office will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 5.

Not sure if you’re registered to vote, or need to change your address? You can find out here and make any changes you may need, as well. Californians need to register to vote by Oct. 21 to vote in the Nov. 5 election. You can also register in person on Election Day for a conditional ballot.
