Riverside Transit Expands Service, Students Ride Free
The Riverside Transit Agency announced service changes and additions for 36 routes.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside transit will increase hours, increase frequency and add trips for several of its routes starting Aug. 15, the Riverside Transit Agency announced Tuesday.
RTA has made adjustments for improved efficiency, expanded connections and on-time performance for 36 routes.
“We’ve made a spectrum of improvements that reflect our commitment to meet the changing needs of our valued customers and get our region moving again,” said RTA Chair Linda Krupa.

RTA will add 149 bus trips overall, with expanded service on 10 routes, increased frequency on nine routes and increased hours of operation on 10 routes. RTA will also resume separate weekday and weekend schedules for most routes.

Those under 18 and college students at Mt. San Jacinto College, Cal Baptist University, La Sierra University, Moreno Valley College, Norco College, Riverside City College and the University of California, Riverside will continue to receive free rides through July 2022.
