'Supportive' Murrieta Dad 'Is The Best Man I Know,' Daughter Says

MURRIETA, CA— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Murrieta, meet Steve Brown.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Adriana Brown who nominated Steve Brown of Murrieta.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad has always been supportive of everything we do! He always goes above and beyond to show his pride for our achievements. I am a single mom and I worked a full-time job while working on my bachelor's degree which I achieved and my commencement ceremony was to be held in 2020. Unfortunately, it was canceled due to the pandemic. My father built a podium and created a commencement ceremony for me in our backyard so he could still celebrate my hard work in achieving that degree. For my birthday and Mother’s Day, he goes out and purchased his own gifts for me and doesn’t just put his name on gifts that my mom purchases. Even though I’m almost 40 now, he has never stopped showing his support and love for me!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

He’s the best man I know and does everything he can to provide for us. Even though me and my sisters are grown and living on our own, he is still constantly checking on us and ensuring we are safe and doing well and have everything we need!
