Toast In Murrieta Closed Until Further Notice After Fire Damages The Popular Eatery

MURRIETA, CA — Toast restaurant in Murrieta is closed until further notice after a fire damaged the eatery this week.

Murrieta Fire & Rescue reported the fire via social media early Monday morning. The 4-year-old restaurant is located at 25401 Madison Ave., Suite A.

"The fire originated in the restaurant and unfortunately extended into the attic space and the shared wall of the neighboring tattoo shop," according to the fire department. "Both businesses will be closed for the foreseeable future. No injuries were reported."

There was no word about the tattoo business, but Toast posted about the fire on social media.

"Sometimes things don't go as planned ...," the eatery shared Monday.

"While we wish we could be celebrating the amazing holidays with you, unfortunately Toast Murrieta had a kitchen fire this morning.

"We are thankful nobody was injured and thankful for our amazing Murrieta Fire Department putting it out as quickly as they could," the post continued. "Unfortunately, the damage is done and at this time, Toast Murrieta will be closed until further notice."

The post went on to thank the community for its support, promising to share a Toast Murrieta reopening date.

"If you still want to celebrate with us and see our amazing Gingerbread themed restaurants, please visit our Toast Temecula location," the post continued. "They will welcome you with open arms."

Toast is a family-owned small business. In 2014, the owners began with 1909, a popular gastropub in Old Town Temecula at 28656 Old Town Front Street. Three years later, they followed that success with Toast Temecula at 31093 Temecula Parkway, Suite D6, and in 2021, Toast Murrieta opened.
