Toddler Pulled Unconscious From Backyard Pool Near Hemet

The victim was rushed to a trauma center, according to the fire department.

HOMELAND, CA — A young child pulled unconscious from a residential pool in Homeland Tuesday was hospitalized in serious condition.

Paramedics were dispatched about 10:40 a.m. to the 26000 block of Round Up Street, near Winchester Road, just west of Hemet, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

According to reports from the scene, the toddler slipped into the water and was beneath the surface for an unknown duration before he was discovered and pulled out by occupants of the residence.

Paramedics arrived within a few minutes and initiated life-saving measures, after which an ambulance took the victim to a trauma center, according to the fire department.
