Weekend Camp Pendleton Training May Be Heard Locally
The training will take place between 6 a.m. Saturday until noon Sunday.
Artillery training on Camp Pendleton may be heard this weekend as far away as La Jolla, Murrieta and parts of Orange County.
Artillery units will be conducting live-fire training into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas from 6 a.m. Saturday until noon Sunday, according to an advisory issued by the base.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
