Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Menifee Mail Theft
A 42-year-old woman was arrested allegedly in possession of stolen mail belonging to 50 people.

MENIFEE, CA — A woman was arrested this week on suspicion of stealing mail in Nuevo and Menifee, authorities said.
On Tuesday, officers received a report that a woman was tampering with a community mailbox on Sandy Plains Drive in Nuevo, an unincorporated area of Perris, The Riverside County Sheriff said Friday.
The woman fled the area but deputies began searching for her with the description of the suspect's vehicle. Deputies eventually spotted the suspect vehicle and pulled the woman over.

Kristen Starnes, a 42-year-old Romoland resident, was reportedly found to have mail belonging to 50 different people from Nuevo and Menifee in her vehicle, deputies said.
Starnes was arrested on suspicion of mail theft and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on vandalism, identity theft and more charges.

No additional information was available as the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff's department said.
