Woman Killed In SWR Home, Homicide Investigation Underway

Sheriff's officials say when they arrived at the home where the woman was found, family members were attempting CPR.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Sheriff's officials are investigating the death of a woman in Lake Elsinore as a homicide after she was found in medical need on Wednesday. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the woman — who was not immediately identified — died despite life-saving measures by paramedics and family members.

Sgt. Ken Thurm said deputies were summoned to the property on Monroe Street, near Garfield Street, around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to investigate reports of a woman in need of emergency medical aid.

"Upon their arrival deputies located family members performing CPR," Thurm said. "Medical aid was summoned and arrived within minutes."

The circumstances behind her death and details regarding suspects were not disclosed.
