Act Soon, Save 50 Percent On Old Unpaid Tickets
Alameda County residents are being encouraged to take advantage of program that could cut certain overdue traffic ticket fines in half

The following is a press release issued by Alameda County Auditor-Controller Patrick O'Connell:
Alameda County residents with overdue traffic tickets have less than two months left to pay up through an amnesty program that allows some fines to be cut in half.
Since Jan. 1, 2012 courts in Alameda County and elsewhere throughout California have offered amnesty to people who have not paid traffic-ticket fines due before January 1, 2009. The amnesty program allows people to make good on their debt and shaves 50 percent off the amount due. The amnesty program ends June 30, 2012.
