ADU Info Session Coming Up For Newark Homeowners

NEWARK, CA — Alameda County's annual Homeowners Fair this year will focus on ADUs (accessory dwelling units) — a property's secondary housing site, commonly known as in-law units or backyard cottages — for residents of Fremont, Newark and Union City.

With input from the Alameda County Assessor’s Office and utility companies, the 2022 event is set for Wednesday, May 25, at the Downtown Event Center, at 3500 Capitol Ave. in Fremont. Doors open at 5 p.m.

For those who cannot attend in person, a virtual event, via Zoom, also is available, organizers said.
