Bakery Expansion In Newark: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Tuesday

The Otis Spunkmeyer bakery on Overlake Place has expanded.

NEWARK, CA —The Otis Spunkmeyer commercial bakery in Newark has expanded.

Demand for the company's frozen cookie dough has grown so much that Aspire Bakeries had to increase capacity.

A ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday will include company officials and local government leaders.

The Otis Spunkmeyer bakery is at 6500 Overlake Place in Newark

Newark mayor Alan Nagy, city manager David Benoun, police chief Gina Anderson, acting fire division chief Randall West, the CEO of Aspire Bakeries Tyson Yu, President of Foodservice and Retail for Aspire Bakeries Beau Netzer, Senior Vice President Chris Prociv, and Vice President Jody Holder will all be in attendance.
