Community Meeting to Discuss 'Alateen' Program to be Held This Weekend
The program provides a safe environment for teens that have been affected by the drinking of others.

From the Newark Police Department:
The District 17 Al-Anon and Family Support Group are hosting a meeting to discuss a support program known as “Alateen” for kids that have been touched by other’s drinking.
On Saturday, July 27th Al-Anon together with Alateen will have a special meeting and open the doors to all members of the community; police officers, teachers, counselors, coaches, therapists, parents, youth ministers, and anyone else who is interested in this program. The Alateens will share on their problems and how this program has helped them. There will be a question and answer period and information will be provided on where Alateen meetings are held.

Where: Holy Redeemer Church Hall, 35660 Cedar Blvd., Newark
Time: 5:30 – 8:00 PM
