Newark Students Need School Supplies, You Can Help
Community asked to 'Stuff the Bus' with school supplies this weekend.

Help parents check off a few of the items on their kids’ “back-to-school” supply lists by heading over to WalMart this weekend.
The has been adopted by the WalMart store at 40580 Albrae St., Fremont, for the second annual “Stuff the Bus” donation drive on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The community is invited to purchase items to help fill a Newark Unified school bus with common school supplies during the two-day fundraising event.

The goal is to gather as many school supplies as possible to be distributed to families who need them most, school officials said.
Last year, Newark schools received four to six boxes full of school supplies, according to Elizabeth Warren, executive assistant to Superintendent Dave Marken.

- Kleenex (packs)
- Hand sanitizers
- Crayons
- Pens

- Glue sticks
- Colored pencils
- Markers
- Pocket folders
- Pencil pouches
- Binder indexes
- Composition books
