Elementary School In The Running For $10,000 Grant

Graham Elementary School is in the running for a grant offered through the Pepsi Refresh Project.

Graham Elementary School is in the running for a $10,000 reward through the Pepsi Refresh Project – a nationwide program in which Pepsi rewards between $5,000 to $50,000 to local organizations and educational projects for specific ideas and projects.

Newark resident Noami Naranjo headed Graham Elementary’s application for the award. Her hope is to allocate the money toward educational field trips for the 456 students who attend Graham.

Since the start of the campaign, Graham Elementary has gone from being in 153 place to ranking 53rd.

Finalists will be announced January 1 before Pepsi awards 15 organizations $10,000 grants.
